FULL LIST: UNILORIN Promotes 20 Lecturers to Professor, 31 to Associate Professor

The Governing Council of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has promoted 20 of its Associate Professor to full Professors, effective October 1, 2024.

A statement by the institution’s Registrar, Mr. Mansur Alfanla, stated that their promotion followed a recommendations of the Appointments and Promotions Committee of the university, which was presented to the Council meeting on January 27, 2025, by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wahab Egbewole.

The institution also promoted 31 senior lecturers to the position of Reader (or Associate Professor).

“The Appointments and Promotions Committee (A&PC) at its 186th meeting held on Monday, 27th January, 2025, considered the recommendations from the 2024 promotion exercise for the promotion of some eligible members of the academic staff of the University to the positions of Professor and Reader,” the statement says.

The newly promoted to Professor and their departments are:
