Ozuitem Community Secondary School is the only secondary school serving Ozuitem, a community in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, Southeast Nigeria.

Photos shared by education advocate Alex Onyia reveal that classrooms and other facilities on the school premises are in a dilapidated, neglected state, urgently needing government attention.
Location
Ozuitem is one of the 13 communities within Bende Local Government Area in Abia State.
Other communities in this LGA include Ugwueke, Nkpa, Bende, Ezukwu, Igbere, Umuhu-Ezechi, Item, Itumbuzo, Ntalakwu, Umu-imenyi, Uzuakoli, and Alayi.
Prominent Figures from the LGA

The council area where this secondary school is located is home to many influential individuals.
Among them is Orji Uzor Kalu, former governor of Abia State and the current Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District.
Another prominent figure from this area is Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives, who also represents Bende federal constituency.
Hon. Kalu is notably spearheading the establishment of the Bola Tinubu Federal University of Nigerian Languages.
Given their positions, we call on these politicians, who frequently canvass for votes in this area, to prioritize rebuilding the school.
In addition, we urge other prominent figures from Bende LGA—such as Arunma Oteh, former Director-General of Nigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission, renowned footballers Kalu Uche and Ikechukwu Uche, and billionaire pastor Jerry Eze, founder of Streams of Joy International—to support the community in this regard.
We also appeal to Governor Alex Otti to direct the newly sworn-in Bende’s local government chairman, Hon. Uwabunkeonye Bassey, to bring the dividends of democracy to Ozuitem Community.
An area under government jurisdiction should have a safe and conducive environment for learning.
