The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka has approved 160 as the minimum pass marks for some of its courses for admission into the institution for the 2024/2025 academic session.
While admission seekers may gain admission with 160 marks, applicants need to score at least 200 to study Law, Pharmacy, Medicine, Forensic Science, and Nursing Sciences. Others include Radiography, Environmental Health Science, Medical Rehabilitation/Physiotherapy, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and Medical Laboratory Science (MLS).
In an update received by EdubasNG, the management of the institution also reveals that 150 is the cutoff mark for admission seekers into any of its affiliate institutions.

Who is eligible to apply to Nnamdi Azikiwe University?
Candidates who choose the institution or its affiliate as their first choice during the last 2024 UTME and have the minimum cutoff marks plus the O’level requirements
Candidates who didn’t choose UNIZIK as their first choice, but meet all other requirements including the pass marks and O’level and are ready to visit accredited JAMB CBT centre for a change of institution.
As for the Direct Entry or DE applicants, they must possess OND/HND/First degree or A Level in relevant discipline and and subjects.

Can I get admission in UNIZIK if I choose it as a second choice?
This can only happen in a very rare situation as most institutions do not see a candidate who chose their institution as being serious. In most cases, the spaces are not even enough for candidates who chose federal or state institutions as their first choice.
They rarely have available space for second choice candidates. As such, it is recommended that you do a change of institution and choose Nnamdi Azikiwe University as your first choice before the closing of post-UTME registration.
