NDDC Foreign Postgraduate Scholarship for 2025/2026 Application Commences

The 2025/2026 foreign postgraduate scholarship program, organized by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for indigenes of the region, has commenced.

The NDDC Foreign Postgraduate Scholarship is open to applicants from the Niger Delta states, covering Delta, Abia, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, Edo, Imo, and Ondo. 

A statement received by Edubase Nigeria states that interested applicants from eligible states must have at least a second-class lower division in their first degree.

Additionally, applicants, who must not be older than 40 years, must have obtained a first degree in any of the following academic programs: Engineering, Medical Sciences, Law, Environmental Science, Agricultural Science, Geosciences, and Information Technology.

Other Requirements:

  • WASSCE/NECO results
  • Local Government Area (LGA) identification
  • Recent passport photograph
  • Relevant degrees from recognized universities
  • Undergraduate degree classification
  • Local Government Identification Letter
  • Postgraduate admission letter from a recognized overseas university
  • NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate

Applicants are advised to take note of their registration number upon successful completion of the application process and print a hard copy of the online-generated acknowledgment for future reference.

The statement further mentioned that shortlisted applicants will be examined through computer-based tests (CBTs), which are scheduled to take place in Rivers State.

In the previous edition of the NDDC scholarship, preference was given to candidates from Oil Producing Host/Communities/Local Government Areas, provided they met the approved cut-off mark.
