Maga 25 Abductions: Two Schoolgirls Escape Terrorists in Kebbi

MAGA | NOV 19, 2025: Two of the 25 female students abducted by terrorists from Government Girls Secondary School, Maga, Kebbi State, who escaped from their captors, have safely arrived in the town where they were kidnapped.

An official from Danko Wasagu Local Government Area, who spoke to BBC Hausa, revealed that the two girls escaped from their captors while they were being led into the bush.

Edubase Nigeria later learnt that one of the schoolgirls injured her leg while trying to escape.

Recall that terrorists attacked the school on Monday morning, November 17, 2025, and kidnapped 25 female students during the raid. They killed the vice principal, Hassan Makuku, and the security guard on duty, Ali Shehu.

Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Bello Muhammad Sani, said additional police tactical units, alongside military personnel and vigilante groups, have been deployed in the area to rescue the schoolgirls.
