Lead City University appoints Prof. Oni Dean, Faculty of Law

Lead City University (LCU), Ibadan, has appointed Prof. Simeon Olaosebikan Oni as the Dean of the Faculty of Law of the institution.

LCU made this known in an announcement on Friday, stating that the appointment is effective from October 2, 2025.

“Prof. Oni’s remarkable academic journey and unwavering commitment to scholarship and leadership make this appointment truly well-deserved,” the university said, expressing optimism that his appointment “will further elevate the Faculty of Law in academic excellence, groundbreaking research, and meaningful community engagement.”

Oni, a double Master’s and PhD holder in International Relations and Law, first attended a college of education, where he was awarded an NCE, and then went on to the university for a degree in Law.

Some of his scholarly works, including Forensic Accounting Evidence: Preservation and Admissibility; Rights of Fair Trial and the Human Person in Nigeria’s Political System: A Legal-Politico Perspective; and Through Laws and Arguments that Prejudice Children’s Economic Ingenuity in Africa, have been published in several international journals around the world.
