James Hope University launches Public Sector Management Programme to boost revenue efficiency

LAGOS | OCT 31: James Hope University, Lekki, has announced a new executive education programme designed to strengthen budgeting practices and improve revenue generation across government ministries and agencies. The initiative, delivered in partnership with MSME Business Solutions, will run from December 15 to 17, 2025, at the university’s Lagos campus.

  • Programme focuses on improving internally generated revenue strategies
  • Targeted at lawmakers, treasury officers, and key government administrators

The three-day intensive training, titled Budgeting, Financial Management & Strategies for Enhancing Internally Generated Revenue, will guide participants through public budgeting cycles, medium-term expenditure frameworks, financial compliance, and internal control systems. It will also address common revenue leakages, how to block them and approaches for improving public engagement.

According to the organisers, the programme is designed for legislative representatives across the 774 local government areas, treasury and finance officers, auditors, revenue administrators, and departmental heads looking to deepen their understanding of fiscal governance.
