University of Benin (UNIBEN) alumni can now apply for their academic transcript through the WaeUp e-portal KOFA page, directly from home.
When you submit a transcript request, it will be sent to your chosen academic institution or employer. There’s no need to rely on third-party handlers like etx.ng, HelpMeWaka, or iTranscript

Original vs. Certified True Copy: You may request the original transcript once. Additional requests will be certified true copies.
Unlimited Applications: You can apply for certified copies as often as needed, subject to fees.
No Physical Copies: UNIBEN sends transcripts directly to institutions or employers.
Online Application: Submit your application online, unless you prefer the traditional method.
Fees: Transcript costs depend on destination and type. The “Type of Order” determines how much you will pay.

- Within Nigeria: N20,000
- Within Africa: N30,000
- Outside Africa (international): N35, 000
Certified copy
- Within Nigeria: N13,000
- Within Africa: N23,000
- Outside Africa (international): N28,000
Required Information for Transcript Application
Email address, phone number, matric number, passport photo (red background), course of study, mode of entry (UTME or Direct Entry), purpose of transcript, entry and graduation years, date of birth, and transcript destination (with address, email, and phone number)
Year of entry should be in academic session e.g 2003/2004
Graduation year should be in academic session e.g 2006/2007
As for the transcript destination, include the address of the recipient e.g School of Postgraduate Studies, Bayero University Kano, Kano State
Student KOFA ID. This is not mandatory since you already have your matric number
Scanned copy of your Statement of Result or the original certificate
Did you transfer, if yes you will be required to state the faculty and department you transferred to and the course
Did you spill? If yes, you should state the sessions of spill
Application steps
Visit the UNIBEN Kofa URL to request login details by entering your names, email address, and phone number

Click “send login details to email address”
A username and password will be generated for you automatically.
Alternatively, you can check your inbox for your login details and click on the URL containing the login details
Begin to edit the form titled, “UNIBEN Transcript Application Record”. This contains your Student KOFA ID.
Click “Application record” to fill the form.
Note: The form is automatically lock, so you will have to click on the pencil icon to open it and fill it
Fill the aforementioned requirement such your Matric number, year of entry and graduation etc
Note: Leave the box in front of “Have you collected transcript before?” if it’s your first time. In this case, original copy applies
But if it is your second time, then you will have to check the box and proceed to get a certified copy
Fill other areas, including uploading the required passport photograph.
Pay attention to the areas that have asterisk mark. They are very important, you must them
Then, confirm that the Passport Photograph you uploaded the form has a RED BACKGROUND and is a true picture of you.
Check the information you filled all over again, save, and make payment via REMITA right at the bottom of the page
Return to the page and submit and download a copy of your acknowledgment slip.

Tracking your application status
To start checking the status of your transcript application on the portal, go to alumni.uniben.edu/applicants/checktranscript

Enter your matriculation number and email address on the spaces provided
Click “check status”
NOTE: After submitting an online request for it, do a follow up like talking to a contact if you still have there (this is very important so that the transcript get delivered on time).
