The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Ondo State, has released the schedule of school fees for the 2025/2026 academic session. In the updated tuition, newly admitted students – 100 level or direct entry students admitted into 200 level – will pay a total sum of ₦258,000, excluding accommodation.
The new school fees do not include charges related to field trips, professional accreditation, MBBS fees, MLS fees, public health charges, or medical college dues.

In the newly updated tuition sent to Edubase Nigeria, returning students in 200 level will pay ₦80,000; 300 level students will pay ₦80,500, while 400 and 500 level students will pay ₦68,000 and ₦75,000 respectively.
Recall that the management of FUTA had planned to increase tuition to ₦240,500 during the 2023/2024 academic session, but later reduced it to ₦159,500 for freshers after protests by students.
By the 2024/2025 academic session, the school fees rose to ₦236,000 before the latest increment to ₦258,000 for freshers. This is coming barely 48 hours University of Lagos increased school fees for freshers from N190,000 to over N400,000.
