FUT Minna receives ₦192 million from NELFUND as loans for 3,209 students

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced the disbursement of ₦192,379,550 as institutional loans for 3,209 students of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT Minna), Niger State.

The loan agency made this known on Thursday, April 24, 2025, in a tweet on its official handle on X, stating that the initiative underscores “our ongoing commitment to advancing educational development and empowering students in their academic journeys.”

Similarly, the authorities of the institution have acknowledged the receipt of the funds through a letter signed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, who stated that the loan will cover the tuition fees of the students at ₦59,950 per student.

Kuta disclosed that the funds were formally deposited into FUT Minna’s account domiciled with the Central Bank of Nigeria on March 5, 2025. The statement adds that this represents the payment of the second batch of the NELFUND loan.
