Federal University of Technology Babura, Jigawa State, has acknowledged the receipt of a total sum of ₦116,103,000.00 from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) between September 6, 2024, and December 12, 2024.
The money was received in two tranches. According to a letter of acknowledgement personally signed by the Vice-Chancellor of FUT Babura, Prof. Sabo Ibrahim Birni Kudu, the institution first received ₦64,565,000 for 355 students in September 2024, while it received ₦51,538,000 for 278 students in December of the same year.
The VC clarified that the two disbursements were for the payment of tuition fees for the successful and verified beneficiaries for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The statement read in part:
“The school fees for fresh students is ₦194,000.00 per session while returning students fees is ₦173,000.00 per session” for the 2024/2025 academic session.
