The Federal University Dutse, will play host to prominent dignitaries within and out Jigawa State when the institution’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) holds its inaugural international conference. It is dubbed 1st International Conference of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (ICFASS 2024).
In a press release obtained by Edubase Nigeria, the theme of the conference is tagged, “National Security, Good Governance and Sustainable Development”, the programme will start from Thursday November 7 through November 8, 2024, at the Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi Auditorium (FUD).
The Vice-Chancellor of FUD, Prof. Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed will be the chief host; Dean of FASS, Prof. Mustapha Danjuma will be the host; Waziri Dutse, Alh. Bashir Dalhatu will be the chairman of the occasion.
Jigawa State Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Isa Yusuf Chamo and the Director of Aminu Kano Centre for Democratic Studies, Mambayya House, Bayero University Kano (BUK), Prof. Habu Mohammed will be the first and second speaker respectively.
The executive governor of Jigawa State Mallam Umar Namadi is the special guest honour; the Emir of Dutse Alh. Muhammadu Hameen Nuhu Sanusi will be the royal father of the day, while the speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly Hon. Haruna A. Dangyatin will be the guest of honour.
According to the statement from the institution, the programme will start from 9 A.M till 10 A.M each day.
