The management of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti (EKSU), Kaduna State University (KASU), and Adamawa State University, Mubi (ADSU), have acknowledged the receipt of student loans from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

This was contained in separate letters signed by the management of the institutions and shared by NELFUND on its official media handles on Monday, January 27, 2025.

EKSU

In a letter personally signed by the Vice-Chancellor of EKSU, Prof. Joseph Babalola Ayodele, the institution acknowledged the receipt of N549,199,000 from NELFUND for the payment of school fees for 2,533 students in the first batch of the education loan.

He urged the management of NELFUND to expedite action on the outstanding requests of all EKSU students for the loan for the 2023/2024 academic session, “and by extension, that of the 2024/2025 session when disbursement begins.”

KASU

Similarly, the Vice-Chancellor of KASU, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, confirmed that the institution received the sum of N292,905,000,000 only, as payment of an educational loan in favour of 2,275 undergraduate students of Kaduna State University.

In a letter of confirmation, the VC stated that the “funds will be judiciously disbursed to the approved beneficiaries as outlined in the provided list.”

He assured that KASU, under his leadership, has put in place measures to ensure the prompt processing and disbursement of funds to cater to the needs of the beneficiaries.

ADSU

Additionally, Adamawa State University disclosed that it had received the sum of N62,876,500 as payment for the school fees of 1,665 students in the first batch.
A letter signed by the head of the NELFUND Desk at the institution, Dr. Ibrahim Bwatanglang, stated that the correction of account details for beneficiaries sent by NELFUND was ongoing. He noted that verification for the second batch of 2,229 beneficiaries was also in progress.
