This article shows you the two methods to check your 2024 UTME result via JAMB eFacility portal and through Short Message Service (SMS).
You should have known your score by now if you are one of the candidates at the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), which held between April 19 through April 29, 2024.
And in case you are among the rescheduled batch for the exam, here are the ways to check your UTME result:
Via JAMB Online Facility Portal
- Using any of your favourite browser with an active data, input jamb.gov.ng/Efacility
- Use the email you registered with and your password to login into the portal
- Choose “Check UTME Results” link
- Enter your JAMB registration number on the space provided
You should wait till the original copy of your JAMB result is available for printing on the portal. At the time of this publication, the paper format of the 2024 UTME isn’t available on the portal
Via SMS
If you don’t want to use CBT centre or cybercafe, your best option is to use the SMS option as follows:
Use the active phone number you registered with during application
Text UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019
The result would come in less than five seconds with your score in each of the subjects
Data About UTME 2024
According to the Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, who announced the release of the exam on April 29, 2024 said:
Registered candidates
1,989,668 candidates registered for the examination: 1,904,109 sat for the exam, while 80,810 were absent.
The exam held in 118 towns and 774 Computer Based Test Centres (CBT) across Nigeria
64,624 results were held because they were under investigation for various reasons, including verification, procedural, and prima facie established exam misconduct among others.
However, majority of results under investigation were centre-based investigations involving 57,056 candidates in 18 CBT centres.
CBT centres in Edo had the highest cases, involving 18 centres, followed by Akwa Ibom with three, two in Delta while Kwara had just one.
Percentage of passes
8,401 canidates scored 300 and above, representing 0.5 per cent.
77,070 candidates scored 250 and above, representing 4.2%
439,974 candidates scored 200 and above, representing 24%
1,402,490 candidates scored below 200, representing 76%
3,164 candidates were of persons living with disabilities (PLWDs)
Over 1 million females enroled for the exam, “This is the first time in three years that the number of females will be more than that of their male counterparts,” Oloyede disclosed.
