University of Ibadan Sets N50K as Acceptance Fee for 2024/2025 Academic Session

The University of Ibadan (UI) has set N50,000 as the acceptance fee for new students offered admission for the 2024/2025 academic session.

A statement signed by the registrar of the institution, Mr. Ganiyu Oke Saliu, states that the acceptance fee, which is non-refundable, is to be paid by new students admitted through UTME and Direct Entry (DE) modes.

According to him, the university’s admission portal opened for payment on Friday, December 20, 2024. Students are instructed to first generate their admission letters on CAPS via the UI website at www.admissions.ui.edu.ng “before payment of the fee.”

Instructions for UTME Students

Students admitted through UTME are directed to log in to the institution’s admission portal and upload the following documents:

  • Proof of payment of the acceptance fee
  • O’Level result(s)
  • PIN/SERIAL numbers of WAEC/NECO scratch cards for O’Level results

Instructions for Direct Entry Students

DE students are directed to log in to the admission portal using their JAMB registration number as their username and their password. They are required to:

  1. Make payment of N50,000 through the admission portal using a debit card or at any of the University of Ibadan’s designated banks.
  2. For payments made at bank branches, log back into the admission portal to reconcile the bank payment.
  3. Print out the payment receipt.

The registration and payment of the acceptance fee will close on Friday, January 17, 2025, the statement concludes
