Exam Automatically Submitted: How To Fix CDCFIB Technical Glitches

Candidates for the ongoing Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) Computer-Based Testing (CBT) are reporting several technical glitches, including the system submitting their session before starting or in the middle of the test. Some people reported seeing a blank page (no questions, no options), while others said they couldn’t see their score upon completing the CDCFIB online test.

Thousands of candidates who experienced the issue said it was frustrating after days of preparing for the online exam, even after abiding by the CDCFIB CBT guidelines.

Mentioning the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo @BTOofficial, he said:
“I was scheduled to take my CDCFIB CBT examination today, 14/11/2025, 12-1pm. After successfully verifying my NIN and phone No. on the exam portal, the system immediately displayed a message saying ‘Exam Submitted’. I was not given any chance to write the exam.”

Adeola Opeyemi, while expressing her frustration, said:

“It got me submitted automatically.”

Another X user, who said his brother experienced something similar, revealed how the system submitted the exam without seeing any question or performing any action:

“My brother experienced this issue this morning, he was scheduled for 11am exam and immediately he logged in he was logged and had his exam submitted successfully, he can’t even say what’s in number 1 question so far.”

Another user said:

“Good afternoon, sir/Ma. I need an urgent response, please. I follow every guide line lay down to follow. I arrived early on site to write the exam, but unfortunately, I got texted, saying my exam was completed. When I never answered a question from it.”

Thousands of other candidates have reported similar issues.

Fixing ‘Exam Submitted’ Glitches on CDCFIB Exam Portal

If you are yet to write your exam, you need to prepare for the worst scenario, such as a blank page or the exam being automatically submitted. In such a situation, here is a temporary fix for the problem, as advised by Musa Kiliya on X, which some people have confirmed as effective:

If your exam was submitted before you finished, or you only saw an empty screen without a single question, take the following steps:

• Go back to the browser you used earlier (if you are still within the timeframe allocated to you).
• Open the history (click Ctrl + H) to view your browsing history.
• Click on the first exam link that submitted your session automatically.
• It will show as submitted.
• Then click the back option.
• Upon clicking back, it will load the questions.

NOTE: This is a quick fix, and you must do it within the one-hour session for your examination. The best fix is for The Board to intervene to either resolve the problem or make arrangements for candidates who faced this issue to rewrite the exam.

In the meantime, experts say the proctoring tool being used by The Board has issues logging candidates out of their session when there is even a slight internet interruption, thereby voiding the test session.
