The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Ondo State, has officially released its calendar for 2025/2026 academic session. This was contained in an internal memo circulated to principal officers and top management staff of the institution.
The calendar shows that registration portal will be opened on Monday, 17 November, 2025, for undergraduates to register. First semester examination will commence on 2 March through 21 March, 2025.
There will be first semester breaking, starting from Monday 23 March to Saturday 18 April, 2026. Second semester is scheduled to start by 26 April 2026.
The memo which, signed by the Deputy Registrar, Senate Matters and Admissions, Dr. M.O. Ajayi, was dated 24 September 2025, the academic calendar was approved by The Senate of the institution at its 331st Statutory Meeting.
The 2025/2026 Academic Calendar is as follows:
First Semester, 2025/2026 Academic Session
- Monday, 17th November, 2025: Registration Portal Opens, Online Registration commences for all Undergraduates
- Sunday 23 November, 2025: Arrival date for all Students (Both Fresh and Returning)
- Monday, 24 November, 2025: Physical Registration Commences
- Monday, 24 November, 2025: Lecture Commences for Returning Students
- Monday, 4 – Friday, 8 December, 2025: Orientation for Fresh Students
- Monday, 4 – Monday, 23 December, 2025: Late Registration
- Tuesday, 22 December, 2025: Christmas break
- Sunday, 4 January, 2026: Christmas Break Ends
- Monday, 5 January, 2026: Lectures Resume
- Monday 26 January 2026: Matriculation Ceremony
- Friday, 20 February, 2026: Lectures End
- Monday 23 February – Friday 27 February, 2026: Lecture-Free Week
- Monday 2 – Saturday, 21 March, 2026: First Semester Examinations
