BREAKING: FUTES Iyin-Ekiti opens admission portal for 2025/2026 session

Iyin-Ekiti, Octo 15 – The Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN), has officially commenced admission for the 2025/2026 academic session. Candidates in the 2025 UTME are invited to apply for a wide range of academic programmes in science, engineering, environmental sciences, and computing.

Admission process and requirements

1) All admissions will be processed through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). Interested candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

2) Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025.

3) Candidates must have taken the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can apply.

4) A minimum JAMB score of 160 is required for admission into any programme at FUTES-IYIN. Note that specific programs may have higher score requirements. Candidates with scores below 160 are not eligible to apply.

5) Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) O’ Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in WASSCE, NECO, or NABTEB. Alternatively, six (6) O’ Level credits at two sittings are acceptable. These credentials must be uploaded to the university’s admission portal.

How to apply

Interested candidates are advised to visit the FUTES-IYIN admission portal https://portal.futes.edu.ng/ for detailed application instructions and to upload their credentials. All applications must be submitted through the JAMB CAPS platform to be considered.

Candidates who willing to make FUTES their first choice are advised to may proceed to apply using the “OTHER” Choice option on the University Admission portal. “However, such candidates must complete the change of institution to FUTES on the JAMB CAPS before the closure of the Post UTME screening registration,” the registrar of the institution Oluwole Olalere Dada said in a statement.

Applicants are to pay a Post UTME Screening Fee ofN2,000.00 and a Portal access Fee of N3,000 to Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti through the REMITA platform on the University’s Admission Portal.
