This post is a guide on how candidates of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can print their original result from the JAMB portal and the personal security measures they can take so that they don’t fall for scam.
Attention: The paper format is not available for printing right now. But the guide that worked for the previous exam is as follows:
Login to the JAMB eFacility Portal with your email address and password
Select services and choose “Print Result Slip” from the dropdown menu
Select “Continue to Payment”. You will have to make payment through your ATM card
On the next page, enter details of your payment card and make payment of N1,500 (bank charges may apply).
The payment page will redirect you back to the JAMB portal, then select your exam year and JAMB registration number.
The portal will display your original exam result, including your full name, photography, registration number, examination number, state of origin, council area, gender, date of birth, and your score in each of the four subjects, aggregate, and your choice of institution
Select print button to get a copy of or your original result.
Things to know about printing paper format of JAMB result:
You will have to be patient till the paper format of the 2024 UTME result is available for download on the JAMB portal. Because as of June 18, 2024, the paper format wasn’t available. And the exam’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, warned candidates to be wary of scammers.
“The board, once again, wishes to state clearly that the only way to check the 2024 UTME result is to send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone used by the candidate in registering for the UTME,” he clarified.
The original copy of your JAMB result is not a guarantee that you’ve been given admission. Your institution and the competitiveness of your choice of course of study would play a significant role.
The examination body has warned severally that there is nothing like upgrading the result, so don’t put yourself at the mercy of scammers who parade themselves as representatives of JAMB.
JAMB doesn’t upgrade results, what you score is basically the reflection of your performance during the exam. Avoid short-cut that would make you regret.
Make sure you use the real JAMB URL, don’t check results on any other site apart from the official portal.
Do not be tempted by those who ask you to send money to check your result for you, you do not need an unknown third party to check and print your result.
If it’s something you can’t do on your phone, walk straight into a nearby cybercafe and tell them you want to print your JAMB result, sit by their side and watch them enter your JAMB details and print your result for you. Service charges may apply.
