The 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will now commence on Thursday, April 24, 2025, instead of the previously scheduled date of Friday, April 25, 2025.
A statement issued and signed by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, explains that the adjustment was made to accommodate essential commitments by the examination body and its partner agencies.

Ahead of the exam, JAMB has directed prospective candidates to print their Notification Slips, which contain vital information such as:
- Examination date
- Venue (centre)
- Time
- Other essential details necessary for successfully sitting for the examination
How to Print Your Notification Slip:
- Visit www.jamb.gov.ng
- Click on “2025 UTME Slip Printing”
- Enter your registration number
- Click on “Print Examination Slip”
Dr. Benjamin advises, “It is strongly advised that candidates print their slips and familiarize themselves with their examination centres at least one or two days before the examination date,” to aid their preparation and ensure a smooth experience on the exam day.
The statement also emphasizes that candidates will be assigned to centres within their selected examination towns—no candidate will be placed in a centre outside their chosen location.
