UI to Hold Matriculation for 2024/2025 Session April 16

The University of Ibadan matriculation ceremony for students admitted for the 2024/2025 academic session will hold on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

According to the guidelines released by the institution and obtained by EdubaseNG, the event will take place at the International Conference Centre. It is mandatory for all newly admitted students to attend.

Other guidelines that parents and students are advised to strictly adhere to include:

  • Parents and visitors will not be allowed to bring food into the International Conference Centre.
  • Partying and social gatherings during the period will not be permitted.

Parents who are unable to attend physically can join the live stream at www.ui.edu.ng.

The institution also stated that the collection of academic outfits from the respective Faculties will commence on Monday, April 14, 2025, after presenting proof of payment into the university’s account.

Matriculants are required to return the academic outfits to their Faculty Officers not later than 48 hours after the ceremony.

A fine of N1,000 per day will be imposed on anyone who holds the outfit beyond the stipulated period, while damage to the outfit will attract a surcharge of N10,000 for the gown and N5,000 for the cap.
